Luminato Festival
Toronto’s second annual Festival of Arts & Creativity will be taking place this year from June 6 to 15, 2008. Celebrate 10 days of music, dance, theatre, film, literature, and visual arts and design. This festival takes place at several venues throughout Toronto and was a tremendous success in its introductory year.

Toronto International Film Festival
The 32^nd Annual Toronto International Film Festival will be taking place this year from September 4 to 13, 2008. See world premiere films and A List actors, and meet the directors, producers, and cast of films brought to you by the world’s best filmmakers. The festival is nine days of parties, red carpets, galas, and photo opportunities.

DIRTY DANCING
November 15, 2007 to July 6, 2008

The Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People
For the kid in us all comes a theatre that has been producing dynamic and cutting edge plays since the 1960s. It has won many awards for its innovative and exciting plays geared towards a younger audience; however, its productions can be enjoyed by “children” of all ages.

Soulpepper Theatre
Located in the historical Distillery District, this 10-year-old theatre company has made many contributions to Toronto’s cultural scene. It produces plays by a variety of authors, including Shakespeare.

DanCap Productions
This is the newest theatre company to hit the Toronto entertainment scene. It produces the best of Broadway and has featured several successful productions to date. The Drowsy Chaperone—its inaugural production here in Toronto—was quite a big hit.

Toronto Blue Jays
This year’s baseball season will begin on March 31, 2008, with a home opener against the New York Yankees. Toronto’s home opener takes place on April 4 against the Boston Red Sox. Tickets can be purchased by calling 416-341-1234 or visiting the box office located at Rogers Centre Gate #9.

Toronto Raptors
Toronto has its very own NBA basketball team! The season has already begun with the last pre-playoff home game taking place on April 14 against the Miami Heat and the last away game against the Chicago Bulls. Raptors home games take place not far from the hotel, at the Air Canada Centre.

The Toronto Rock
Toronto even has a championship lacrosse team! It also plays at the Air Canada Centre.
